Its great to hear that Bank of America (BAC, Fortune 500), which began reaching out to at-risk borrowers in early April, has sent out 100,000 letters to borrowers who could potentially benefit. The troubled mortgage finance company Fannie Mae, , reported a first-quarter loss of $23.2 billion on Friday. The mortgage giant also reported that it submitted a request for $19 billion from the Treasury Department, to cover its net worth deficit of $18.9 billion.
